At the end of the 1969 regular season, Koosman would post a 17 and 9 record which got him elected to his second All Star selection. Koosman would be the star of the 1969 World Series leading the Mets to their first World Series title. Seaver would lose game one and Koosman would win game 2. The series would shift to Baltimore for the next 3 games with the Mets taking games 3 and 4. The Mets send Koosman out to pitch game 5 and he would pitch the Mets to their first World Series title by pitching a complete game. This team was the named "The Miracle Mets" after defeating the heavily favored Orioles. This series is considered one of the games greatest upsets. Road knit from the 1974 season in which Koosman would record a record of 15-11. Jersey shows heavy use, as it appears to have been sent down to the minors. There are faded markings in collar leading us to believe that it was indeed sent down. Strip tag in collar 43 74 36. Right front tail has Rawlings tag size 44. Jersey shows heavy use with missing piping and a small hole just above the E in Mets. There is some staining below Mets on front with swelling of the numbers. Jersey is missing 2 buttons, Koosman has signed the jersey just below the 36 on front. JSA LOA
