By the time this piece of lumber was made Willie had already established himself as the games premiere center fielder. He had all five tools to play the game and could hit anything and out run almost any ball hit to center field. He tracked down a ball to dead center field with a over the head catch on the warning track in the 1954 World Series. During his career he would start it off with Rookie of the year honors then a World Series Championship. From there he would win 2 National League MVP's, 12 Gold Gloves, National League Batting Champion, 4 time National League Home Run Champion and an amazing 24 time All-Star. Rare signed Mays game used bat from Hall of Famer. Bat has been given the grade of GU 9 by PSA. Bat is cracked and measures 35 inches and 31.8 ounces. bat is a model M63 with Mays number 24 on knob. Ball marks through out the hitting surface. Mays has penned his signature on the barrel. We are assuming that bat was graded a 9 based on the handle crack which is an easy repair. PSA GU 9 and JSA LOA.
