Trickle was one of Nascar most popular drivers in his day. He is widely considered "America's Winningest Driver" with an estimated 1,200 career wins. He would debut in Nascar in 1989 and would win Rookie of the Year honors at the young age of 34. He would be the oldest driver to win this award. At the banquet he would accept the award and thanked everyone for giving a young guy like him a chance. During his Nascar career he would start 303 races with his best finish 3rd 5 times, 15 top 5 finishes and 36 top 10 finishes. Because of his unusual double-entendre name was another reason for his popularity. His name was always mentioned on sports center by Keith Obermann or Dan Patrick when Nascar was featured. He was often refereed to as Mr. Trickle or the Man. He also loved to smoke and was noted for having a hole drilled in his helmet so he could smoke during the race with a cigarette lighter in his car. Nascar allowed him to smoke during yellow flag periods and during one race he was shown on TV lighting up and smoking. The offered suit is from the 1998 season which was Nascars 50 Anniversary season. Suit shows nice use with Heilig Mevers Furniture as the main sponsor. 50th Anniversary patch on left sleeve on left chest Beautyrest, Mac Tools, Dupont and Goodyear.
