After Brock was traded to the Cardinals, his career turned around just as quickly as he was traded. He moved to left field and batted .348 and stole 38 bases for the rest of the 1964 season. At the time of the trade, the Cardinals were in 8th place in the National League. Brock helped the Cardinals storm from behind to capture the National League pennant on the last day of the season. Four months to the day after Brock's trade, the Cardinals would win the 1964 World Series in seven games over the favored New York Yankees. Brock was best known for breaking Ty Cobb's all-time major league stolen base record in 1977. He was an All-Star for six seasons and a National League stolen base leader for eight seasons. He also led the NL in doubles and triples in 1968 and singles in 1972. He would also be a 6 time All-Star and 2 time World Series Champion. Brock would be elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1885. Bat exhibits, ball, stitch impressions and cleat marks. Bat also shows red and blue bat rack marks. Handle has a light coat of tar with 6 rings of tape. Brocks number 20 on knob model M110, 35 inches and 32.3 ounces. PSA LOA Graded GU 9.
