Jones would drive in all different circuits, from Off-Road to Indy Cars. In 1961, he would race in his first Indianapolis 500 and win the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year honor. In the 1961 Indy race he would be running with the leaders before getting hit in the face with a rock and finishing 12th. In 1962, he would be the first driver to qualify at 150 MPH. He would finish in 7th place when his brake line malfunctioned. In the 1963 Indy race, he would win the pole again and dominate the race. Towards the end of the race, Dan Gurney would move into second and was closing the gap but had to get a new front tire. He would come out and run Jones down again, but he had to return to the pits to get another front tire dropping back in the pack. With a few laps to go, a Yellow flag would come out and on lap 193 the green flag would let the drivers to start racing again. Jones would have a 21 second lead and Clark would close the gap within seconds of the lead. Jones would start seperating from the field, winning the 47th Indianapolis 500. Ring has crossed flags, Indy car with diamonds for the wheels, winner and Jones number 98. One side has 500 with other side having 1963. Ring is stamped 10K with XXXXmaster. Size 10.5 and 14 grams. This is the actual ring presented to Parnelli Jones.
