PSA LETTER IS NOW POSTED

The Babe grew up as a poor kid in Baltimore with his father owning a bar. He would become one of the most recognizable people in the world during his lifetime. He would start his career with the Red Sox and would eventually be traded to the New York Yankees. Following the trade, the Yankees were almost unbeatable winning 7 American League Pennants and 4 World Series from 1921 to 1932. The trade would become known as the Curse of the Bambino as the Red Sox would dominate the teens winning 4 World Series. Following their last World Series win in 1918, they would trade the Babe to the Yankees and not win another World Series until 2004. The Babe will always be the greatest player to play the game of baseball. Many books interviewing players that played in the early 20's all say the best player was Ruth with Cobb being a close second. Ruth was always just a happy guy whether on the field or off and Cobb was fierce when hitting or running the bases on the field always wanting to win. Ruth's 714th home run would be his last and was not beaten until 1974 when Hank Aaron hit number 715. This is a rare Ruth Hana BatRite model bat that falls within Ruth's bat specifications for the period. Bat measures 35 inches and 37.5 ounces. Bat is cracked with 2 pieces missing on the knob and a wood screw near the knob. Center brand has BatRite logo with A 125 above bat and Burke in the center. The barrel has Ruth Type. Pro grade wide grain wood with no stamping's in the knob. PSA LOA
